Germplasm acquisition from native plant populations

A significant effort is made at the OPGC to acquire germplasm of species native to North America. Our priority genera of Coreopsis, Lilium, Phlox and Rudbeckia have significant representation in the USA . The collection include wild forms of cultivated species (e.g. Phlox subulata, Rudbeckia hirta) as well as crop wild relatives.
